For a long time, I was nervous about stepping into a yoga studio. I was an avid runner, cyclist, and athlete, but, for whatever reason, carried assumptions about what yoga was and who could do it. Eventually, I summoned enough willingness to try. And, luckily, I continued to show up. As I learned about the physical postures- the asanas- I began to integrate breath work and other elements of yoga as well.
I’m grateful that yoga has since become an ongoing practice for me—one of growth, setbacks, and recovery. It’s been an anchor during life’s changes, and has taught me the power of breath and presence. I’ve learned that yoga isn’t about perfection, but about humbly showing up, and beginning again. And again. And again.
In 2017, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Just B Yoga. Now, I’m grateful to share my practice as an instructor, offering classes that combine physical challenge with a focus on breath, inclusivity, and compassion. Whether it’s a slow burn or HIIT class, I’m here to guide you as we find connection- breathing and burning it up in the sweet, sweaty heat of the ELHY studio.
